hooligan's holiday.

  • cute patterned knit sweater: Highlight (local clothing store)
  • bow hi-wi skirt with buttons: local boutique
  • white tights: random store
  • furry brownish hat: vintage
  • brown suede ankle boots: thrift store
  • large satchel bag: Oink! (local clothing store)

Well, okay. I’m in love with this knit sweater. Deadly cute patterns!! =D I found this in my work place a month before I took this picture. The warehouse-man said it’s only available in S size and it’s too tight for me. I decided not to buy it. But… About a week before I took this picture, I was looking for something in the warehouse and I found this in L size! Lucky me! It’s a bit too big but I loveeee it =DD I also found this vintage furry hat for really cheap price. Firstly, I was about to cut the ribbons because I thought it looks stupid but then I decided not to do it. It looks perfect! Don’t you think so? =]
As the skirt, it’s actually an overall with removable straps. The buttons on the back-side was lost and I couldn’t find the same buttons in stores so I removed the straps and wear it as a lovely bow skirt =]]

  •  my uniform-tee which I have to wear every Wednesday and Saturday: Motorhead for Eselcrue
  • shirt worn as a skirt: dad's closet
  • green patterned coat: thrift store
  • holey fringe shawl (twist it around the neck): mom's closet
  • over the knee socks: Sox Gallery
  • black patent oxford ankle booties: Forever 21
  • black vintage slingbag: Yves Saint Laurent

I was bored of wearing my uniform-tee at work just with random jeans or skirts so I was inspired of Sheryl Oon's look on lookbook.nu (really awesome idea!). I tried something different and I wore my dad's shirt as a skirt instead of a dress. It was fun and I don't need to buy new skirt. Hahahahaha =D Well, I also added my beloved fringe holey shawl which I got from my mom's closet and twisted it around my neck. Paired em with a really cheap green wool coat (thrifting is fun!) and voila! Dad's shirt made my day! Thanks, daddy!

ps. Yeah, I was beautifully depressed to get a new skirt =P

  • denim + flowery corduroy dress: vintage
  • oversized long blazer: mom's closet
  • holey fringe shawl: mom's closet
  • black tights: random store
  • taupe oxford flats: vintage
  • black suede drawstring bag: vintage

I was a bit sick.
And lazy.
Plus oily and tired face.
Ignore the background.
End of story.

  • White Dangerwings edition tees: Mastodon
  • tartan tube dress worn as skirt: Body & Soul
  • blue mickey scarf: Centro department store
  • over the knee socks: Sox Gallery
  • black and white maryjane wedges: custom-made
  • houndstooth speedy bag: ITC Mangga Dua

Another fave band shirt, Mastodon =D

My black-white tartan skirt is actually a tube dress. I just wore my shirt on the dress and fold the chest twice to make it shorter because I think it would look weird if I wore over the knee socks and the dress is just a lil bit above my knees.
Again, my face looks stupid. Ignore it =P
Oh.. and my scarf did tie-off itself because of tired choking my neck (second pic). Great.

  • plaid flannel shirt: thrift store
  • (not shown) hotpants: eat347 (local clothing store)
  • black tights: random store
  • holey fringe shawl: mom's closet
  • black skinny belt: ITC Mangga Dua
  • suede brown ankle boots: thrift store
  • black suede drawstring bag: vintage

Other old pics. Another work-outfit. Mix of brown and black. And it came like this because my deep love to natural color and sometimes it works well =]
I wore this when I had a photo shoot with my work-mates. I just took their pics wearing my hand-made clothes that I sell on my friend's shop.
I love this flannel shirt a lot. It’s thick and warm and I got it at thrift store for about less than $1! Although I had to alter it first to fit my size. I also love the color too.
So, I decided to wore black tights (I was about to wear black skinny jeans or leggings) to make my legs look skinnier. Hahahaha. And I added the black skinny belt to make a proportional waist-look (errgghh.. what am I talking about?). Okay. Let’s make it simple. That’s all then =D
Errr… I looked so tired here. Whatever. Please ignore my face.

style.com's top ten fall must-haves.

Based on article that I've read on Style.com about Top Ten Fall Must-Haves, I've decided my fave pieces. I do like over the knee boots, something draped, a leather jacket (which I've got one for a nice price on ebay!), and something studded! But, this Stella McCartney's animal-free cupro jacket from fall 2009 ready-to-wear that really caught my eyes!! *drooling*

The color, the shape, everything is so perfect! I would totally love to wear this with black mod mini-dress and over-the-knee boots. Gosh... I wish I could wear that kind of boots in this tropical country. I have knee-high boots but I usually fold it down until mid-calf. It's too hot wearing that kind of boots here. But I have to find the fabulous over-the-knee ones on ebay because I'm craving for them so much, like this one:
courtesy of ebay

These are nice and simple over-the-knee black boots. But I don't refuse to have the edgy ones like shown in that article, by Rodarte. Next, something draped! We see A LOT of drapery pieces since last year fall season and it will be the trend again for next fall. After seeing Viktor & Rolf's attention-grabbing clutch, let's see what other designers do.

Great tailoring and drapery knitwear weaved by Veronique Branquinho. Above is one of my fave piece with masculine and feminine elements mix.
Other great and quirky pieces come from Junya Watanabe. An interlude which Watanabe gathered in thoughts about draping (a few black asymmetric tunics worn over leggings) and veiled gold lamé. These three are my faves:

Aaaaand... (drumline) leather jacket! I can't stop craving for them. Especially in a season of don't-mess-with-me biker babes like now. Totally right, Phi's shrunken, short-sleeved leather motorcycle jacket that shown on gorgeous Chanel Iman is such perfection.

This awesome strong-shouldered (which is also include this top ten next trend) leather jacket from Givenchy looks totally fab!

I also see my fave leather-look pieces from one of Milan's baroque designers, Maurizio Pecoraro. Leather-look suits with polkadot sheer tights really complete my day!

Something studded... Nothing can stop me fall in love with this gorgeous pieces. Oh my... I believe that studded duffel bag named "Coco" from Alexander Wang fall 2009 Collection toted by Mary-Kate Olsen is going to be an 'it' bag for the coming fall or late summer fashion!
courtesy of here

And this stunning studded boots from Charlotte Ronson fall 2009 fashion show!! These particular booties featured a platform sole and peep-toe dominated the runway.

Final words... I just heart this Kenzo fall 2009 ready-to-wear collection. Dr. Zhivago meets folkloric flounce. Too gorgeous to be true!!

  • bowy high-waisted skirt: home-made
  • faded stripes blazer: local boutique
  • burgundy tights: Forever 21
  • vintage bowler hat: Saks Fifth Avenue
  • black patent oxfords ankle booties: Forever 21

My newest Motley Crue tees when I took this pic (because I already have the newest one again. Hahaha). So, it was my friend’s tees and I’ve forced him to sell it to me for ages and couple days before I took this pic, he said I can have it =D
Oh my.. I’m so excited. Motley Crue is my most fave band in this whole world =D

It’s not rare thingy but I was looking for it for couple months and I still got nothing =[

And in this outfit, my fave burgundy tights did its job again to add some spice on my black and white outfit. Oh yeah. And I was and still I am too much in love with my bowler hat =P

  • black basic vest: Gitchy*
  • blue mickey scarf: Centro department store
  • black tights: random store
  • black patent oxford booties: Forever 21
  • stars and hearts sling bag: Zara

Okay. My second time to wear heels to work. My feet didn’t get hurt like the first time of course. But yeah... Still... Beauty needs pain.
Purple is my fave color and I was glad of finding this Topshop
tunic. In some ways, it makes me look fat (yeah, I don't have your flat tummy) but I don’t care. Hahahahahaha. And this was my first time to wear my new sling granny purse from Zara. This bag is too cute and could carry some of my junks =]

awwww thanks, Connie =]

Connie from EverybodyIsUgly of Chictopia asked me if I want to contribute a guest post to CoedUgly. Oh My God... What an honor. Firstly, she asked me if I want to write to either TeenUgly or CoedUgly and I’m in college now so I chose CoedUgly. And the worst part is... I don't know what to write. I’m afraid I can’t write anything good and useful. Hahahaha. You know, college life in here (Indonesia) is so different with foreign country (okay.. let's say USA). I've explored some college style (I was in Atmajaya University for couple years before I got furlough for -so far- two semesters and I'm studying University of Gadjah Mada now. Okay. I was bored!) and I can say... uh... not chic! It's just all about the boring tees and the boring skinny jeans, with cardigans and sneakers. It looks all the same, especially in my current college. Thankfully, I got an eye on some better styles in Atmajaya. I think it's because the college rules itself. I, myself, don't feel confidence to wear something more than my fave skinny jeans and my fave oversized band tees in my current college. The kids... take everything too seriously, I guess. While I was able to explore my own style in my former college as long as it's still respectful. Here's my very very old pics when I was currently attending my first year (I was still wearing jeans and tees too. Hahahaha) in Atmajaya :

Sorry for not interesting. I was a kind of tomboy and never wore heels. I wore pentagram buckle, for God's sake... Okay... It was long time ago!

Aaaaaaand *drumlines* my first year for purple skinny jeans! (yeah I'm in the middle!) Hahahaha..
See, with fashion world is getting better right now, all I can see in my college is same with I wore three years ago. Yeah. We need change. Can we just wear something like these or these to college? LOVE!!
Ummm... anyway, should I write about this topic and send it to Connie? I think I don't want to publish my pathetic old pic in Chictopia. Ha. Do you have any idea? What should I write about college life? Hit me back if you're game =]

  • tiny houndstooth blazer: thrift store
  • off-white mini dress: Ciel
  • vintage bowler hat: Saks Fifth Avenue
  • holey fringe shawl: mom's closet
  • black tights: random store
  • black patent oxford booties: Forever 21
  • houndstooth speedy bag: ITC Mangga Dua

More old pics. It was my first time to wear heels to work. God... It hurt a lot for first timers like me. But, they’re platform heels, so they didn’t hurt me that much later. But I still have to get used of them. I work 7 hours a day and when I wore these for the first time, I feel sorry for my feet although I’m happy that I've passed this beauty-needs-pain-phase. Hahahahaha =P
Anyway, I often wear black and white. I love natural colors and monochrome. Love this tiny houndstooth (yeah.. tiny.. can’t even see the pattern) blazer a lot. My best-buy thrifted stuff. It's only 5000 rupiahs (about 50 cents). And I bought the white tunic for cheap price too. Mix them with black tights, the fringe shawl I found in my mom’s closet (Gosh.. I love this), and a vintage Saks Fifth Avenue bowler hat which I got from Ebay and tadaaaaa... This is what I called my 'style' =D

oh no.

I know, to make my blog looks good, qualified, and worth-to-read, I have to provide some good pictures and great writing (which I suck, at both of them).
So, that's why I need a decent camera (not my 7 MP Olympus digicam that already cracked its case because my dad fell it down) and I have to improve my grammar in writing a proper blog. I think Nikon D80 is awesome (I've checked my friend's) but I can't afford it (of course!). Hahahaha. I have to be satisfied with my current digicam. Aaaaaaand... in fact, I can't take good pictures with DSLR cam. Hahahaha. Why do I have to make a fuss about it then?
I wrote that above emotionally because of... PMS.

  • flat slouchy tan boots: Naturalizer
  • big tote bag: Oink! (local clothing store)

Again. My work outfit. Long time ago. I decided to post my fave outfits since ages ago. Just to fill this blog with something. Because I ain't good at mumbling. Hahaha =P
Everything’s brownish here. I think I love earth tone a lot. And it suits my skin well.
I found this dress in my deepest closet. I’ve never worn this for ages. A tiny polkadot (yes, it’s polkadot) dress. It came up with a brown vintage belt and dark brown tights. I just threw on the jacket for.. uh.. no idea. Hahaha. Should i put it on or throw it away?
Okay.. I think I'd carry it on =D

  • Dr. Feelgood edition tees: Motley Crue
  • grey pleated skirt: thrift store
  • black skinny belt: vintage
  • burgundy tights: Forever21
  • red heart-shaped glasses: Forever21
  • scarf : Centro department store
  • grey suede shoes: Calliope
  • vintage sling bag: Yves Saint Laurent

This is really old pic. It was a dinner-time with my work-mates after a fasting day. I mixed my fave band tee with a schoolgirl pleats skirt for a girly touch. I added a black skinny belt, also some reddish stuffs like the burgundy tights, heart-shaped glasses, and creme-red scarf which I bow-tied over my neck. I love my neutral color (black and gray) look but I think putting a little reddish thingy will add some spice to the look.
