  • ribbon puffy sweater: vintage
  • neon leopard skirt: got it from my boss
  • tan beret: Ebay
  • purple candy socks: Sox Gallery
  • simple tan ankle boots: bought in Bandung
  • stars and hearts granny slingbag: Zara

Yesterday was not a blast day like I've expected before. I had a plan to go karaoke with my bitches and it screwed up because one of us canceled it. And I wrote this post on my work-place just because I had nothing to do (but I posted it at home). Sigh. You know, it happens sometimes when you're surrounded with many people and you just want to be alone but when you're completely alone then you'd feel lonely and need your friends beside you. It makes me buried in chic depression (so I could wear black slash grey everyday) these days, so I decided to play with neon colors to booze up my mood, for sure. I'm a quite miss matchy-matchy. Like this time, I wore the purple sweater with the purple socks or got the beret and boots in same color yada yada yada. I just like to keep the colors safe. I can't imagine myself wearing too much colors in one outfit. I think I have no talent on matching colors unless black =P

Anyway, this sweater is the most comfy sweater I've ever had. Sleek, loose, pretty color, and it's cheap! Got the boots in Bandung from my last trip too. Not to mention, ridiculously cheap! Gosh... I don't even know what to write again. I'm so tired.

  • houndstooth swing jacket: thrift store
  • slashed-leather tank: Misch @ Happy-Go-Lucky
  • snake-skin printed skirt: Endorse (local clothing store)
  • black beret: Ebay
  • grey tights: Sox Gallery
  • patent oxford booties: Forever 21
  • metallic big handbag: Invictus (local clothing store)

Changing background! Yaaay. I'm so excited. That's why I'm sorry for the image overload. Hahaha. I think you would be bored of my plain-wall background if I use it all the time. Well, just because that's all I have, to be honest. Hahaha.
I'm currently loving the dark shades lately (well, it's actually 'always' but I'm currently feeling like buried in chic depression so, yeah). The jacket had been trapped in my closet for years. I got it just for $1. Surprising, eh? And I really love this super comfy tank top with faux leather accent that I got from local designers concept store called Happy-Go-Lucky on my last trip to Bandung. Such a cutie store and I'd love to have a bedroom with such gorgeous interior like that. Also, paired it with a simple yet fierce skirt and you could see the pattern-combos on a zoom pic I put above. What I love is just... black =D
Anyway, I got featured in an article written by Daria Shualy from Sense Of Fashion. Check it out here. Thank you so much, Daria =]

  • puffy embellished shirt: Daisy Days
  • asymmetrical skirt: Topshop Boutique
  • DIY studded blazer: thrift store
  • knee-high mesh socks (worn as ankle socks): Sox Gallery
  • ruched back-laces boots: Topshop

I really love the shirt I was wearing. It's longsleeved embellished shirt with sharp yet puffy shoulder and it has something like gold-ish glittery texture. Naaaah, pictures don't do justice. I just loveeee it.
Also, a bit story about 'behind the scene' of this shoot. When I was about to get photographed, my usual camera (Olympus E-300) was dead! Empty battery! Forgot to bring the charger! I was upset because ummm.. well.. I was wearing goddamn heels, for goddamn's sake! Hahahaha. Thanks God, my usual photographer brought his camera and we did the shoot with his. It's Canon EOS400. It was my dream camera, but now I like my Olympus better for some reasons =]

  • simple black dress: Bloop (local clothing store)
  • lace short-sleeved cardigan: thrift store
  • DIY studded jeans jacket: vintage
  • printed cycle shorts: American Apparel
  • Chanel-esque sequined headband: DIY
  • simple black lace-ups: bought in Bandung
  • shiny slouchy bag: Flashy (local clothing store)

Yo Yo Yiggady Yo. I'm back. I'm really sorry for the lack of posting. The last holiday (if it was count as a holiday) was really fascinating and I was seriously enjoying my life without anything internet-related (although I checked it out sometimes).
About the outfit... Dude, I love this dress so much! It's simple, loose-fit, and very comfortable. And it was on sale. Aha. That's why I love it so much. It also goes with almost anything. I paired it with these 'peeping' AA shorts from Chictopia rewards. Then, what I love about the jacket are the wicked color and the 80's shape. Although it has this fugly print on the back so I didn't have any choice but stud it myself to cover the print. It took almost 3 days to finish it. Fhew. I made this headband for a contribution to Gogirl! magazine web. It's quite easy to make so you could try if you like it =]

Anyway, I watched two movies this week,
New Moon and (500) Days of Summer. New Moon sucks (no offense, fans). Such a garbage. Twilight is just umm-yeah-okay and it's much better than New Moon. I didn't see anything but cheesy love story, lame dialogues, and horrible acts. I hate Bella's obsession (err.. what? love? hell no!) to Edward and for me, she just look like a bitch. Sorry, I'm a fan of Kstew but this is really disappointing. It's really nice to see her act and sing in Into The Wild than craving for a hot vampire or shirtless werewolf (I don't even like Rpatz and TayL). IMHO, New Moon is one of the worst movies that I've watched in 2009. The other way, the soundtrack is awesome. Death Cab For Cutie, Band Of Skulls, Thom Yorke, Lykke Li, Black Rebel Motorcycle, Sea Wolf, Ok Go, Grizzly Bear, Editors, etc are just W.O.W. I love them.
How about (500) Days of Summer? It's AH-MAZING! One of the best movies that I've watched in 2009 and I'm not joking. And it's not a cheesy love story. Hahaha. Here's the trailer:

(500) Days of Summer is really refreshing. It's funny, unique, and true to life. It's got something for everybody to like. Even the soundtrack is beyond too cool. It's like a tribute to The Smiths. I love when Summer (Zooey Deschanel) sang 'Sugar Town' by Nancy Sinatra for the karaoke scene. Zooey even chose her own song for this scene. I love Joy Division and The Clash t-shirts worn by Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). I love Regina Spektor's catchy music for opening credit.

The most painful scene was the ending bench-scene. And I think that was the best part and the best memorable quotes.
Summer : I just... I just woke up one day and I knew.
Tom : Knew what?
Summer : What I was never sure of with you.

But there were also lots of funny lines. Even from the author!
Author's Note: The following is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to persons living or dead is purely coincidental. Especially you Jenny Beckman. Bitch.

Also, these lines are legends.
Summer : We've been like Sid and Nancy for months now.
Tom : Summer, Sid stabbed Nancy, seven times with a kitchen knife, I mean we have some disagreements but I hardly think I'm Sid Vicious.
Summer : No, I'm Sid.
Tom : Oh, so I'm Nancy...

The director even made a short movie about this Sid and Nancy scene. It's so hilarious =D

Okay, I should shut my freakin' gob now. Just grab it on nearest DVD store and watch it!
