coming back to life.

I'm back! You know what?! I was abducted by an alien that caused my super long hiatus on this blog so I couldn't post anything and bore you with my unnecessary words about my boring life...... Naaah, I'm kidding. Hahaha. I made up a stupid reason so you could forgive me for being such a bad bad bad blogger. I think it's my bad habit to be hiatus on summer and come back on fall (I did the same last year. Uh huh.). Well, personal life is the one and only reason why I ditched this blog so long till I felt bad about it and I almost shut this blog down because of the guiltiness I've been through lately. I'm currently in my comfort zone, focusing about how to take care of my little family and getting settled of undone things that being neglected. I rarely spend time in front of my computer like I used to do a while back. Maybe it's a bit hard to keep my consistency to blog regularly right now but I will try my best. Done with the junk and gonna post up something tomorrow. Probably will update my blog store, too. Hooray! :D

ps: THANK YOU for your mentions, emails, and comments that remind me how lucky I am to have such lovely readers like you, remind me that you still read my blog. THANK YOU xxx

That was a cloudy day and I really enjoyed those few hours I spent with my fellow Aquarian blogger, Miy of The Picnic Girl. She was the owner of Cups, the cozy little cafe that I loved to be when I goofed around and enjoyed the nice quietude. Now, we found another favorite place called Peacock, a place to sip a cup of chocolate or even green tea while talking about everything in life. Girls always be girls.

I was amazed by the effort that Miy took to polish up this little gathering! She brought her own home-made treats to beautify the minimalist coffee table and not to mention, they tasted delicious. Look at those brownies and strawberries and cornflake-balls... And how she arranged them to be a tower of sweet treats from heaven!

I have to admit that I don't write as impressive as Miy. She always know how to nail little stories through the pictures. It's like telling fairy tales to the children before they're going to bed! So, check out her delightful post about this little meet-up, too! Ahhhh... I just can't wait for the other time we'll spend together again as picnic pals...

lazy greys.

  • polkadot denim pants: Just Wanderlust
  • navy blue leather belt: vintage
  • three-tone strap wedges: Topshop
  • bluebell studded suede bag: Chrysalis

How'dy, guys? This is another delayed post. I'm still passing through the grey days here. I've been feeling ridiculously unwell since last week. My body is aching all over and I feel nauseous all the time. I definitely need my chillax moment today and do nothing. Probably just scroll on my bed and my Sunday life will be only for a big bowl of cornflakes and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book that I want to finish. It's only few days away before the movie release. I've read it about six times and I just want to make sure that I'll remember every detail in the book when I watch the movie. Gosh. I love Harry Potter more than anything. Probably.

I really really really love this bodysuit. Yeah. Got this on sale price (which is the best thing!) and I always wanted to have this kind of bodysuit with bustier tube! I find it more like... cute instead of sexy. Hehe. And the pattern even makes it cuter!

These pants are also my fave pants because of the... polkadot! Yes, I have secret obsession with polkadot now (I was obsessed with houndstooth!) and I can't help myself when I saw these pants on an online store. I even ignored my friend who told me that he still consider them as pj pants. DUH.

Last, I just wanna share a beautiful yet sad story that my fellow blogger, Miy, wrote on her latest post about her beloved hometown, Kaliurang, which is only few kilometers away from the top of Mount Merapi. She portrays the real situation around, the abandoned village, the burnt trees, and everything is covered in ashes. It's very depressing to know the situation keeps going like this. But I believe in hope that my lovely town is going back to normal soon..

  • shiny slouchy bag: Flashy

Super delayed post! I took these pictures before the volcano eruption in my town and I'm really sorry that I just had time to post it by now. Everything was crazy. The volcano was even more dangerous than ever and we had to wear mask everywhere because of the dust rain. It's calming down for these couple days but the number of refugees and victims is still increasing day by day. The situation is devastating and I hope everything will be okay soon.

Wore this blouse again. It's pure delicate, can't help it. Oh, and I was very surprised when I got a super lovely package from Love and Bravery. I received some of the prettiest clothes and they fit me so well. These pants are very comfy and I love the drapery pocket. Go follow them on their blog shop and like them on their Facebook!

Also received these quirky wedges from Spotlight! Yaaaaay. Don't you love the pattern? I do! These are hand-painted and I was amazed with the quality. Go grab the cutest sneakers or flatties at their store! And please say hi to my new hat! =D
ps. Please check out this post and this post by my fellow blogger friend, Claradevi (she lives in Jogja, too!) if you want to donate for the volcano victims. THE REFUGEES ARE STILL STRUGGLING. Please please please do the best as you can and Claradevi with some of her friends (one of them are my friend, too!) will distribute your donation to the refugee camps. They will report the kind of logistics, the amount of the expenses, and live-tweet about the distribution with some pictures. Follow her twitter @claradevi or my friend's @mistymimit to get more updates or you could also follow this hashtag: #pedulimerapi (mainly written in Indonesian). And if you live in Indonesia, you can donate by transferring to the bank accounts they provide on their profiles. Every little help is very useful and will be well-distributed by these angels. Thank you so much! May God bless us all..

Yo yo yiggady yoooooo.. I'm back! Yeah, I'm waking up from the dead! I'm really really sorry for not updating my blog for ages. I feel really bad but I've been literally *cough* busy. It's such a cliche reason that I use all the time but yeah, I really was. Pretty much for job duty or blog-related (nothing included updating, unfortunately) and also... uhhhh... kept myself awake to watch World Cup matches. Hahaha.
Well, in the beginning of the month, I got an invitation from L'Oreal Paris to attend the party in Jakarta. Based on my L'Oreal review that I wrote for L'Oreal Star Blogger contest, I won The Best Visual Blog along with Glisters and Blisters as Most Favorite Star Blogger. I also hit Bandung two weeks ago to join biggest local clothing fest (I was pretty much working...) and when I got back, I need to prepare for my company's anniversary. Sounds busy, no?

Ahhh.. This pattern-play game have been my pleasure for a while. I always end up going matchy-matchy and this time I paired the polkadot blazer with my new polkadot scarf (the color is just perfection!). Not to mention, the shorts stole my heart when I saw them for the first time so I snagged it fast from local online shop.
Well, since this is my first post after a-month hiatus, please let me pack up some extra photos. Pleaseee? Hahahaha.

Have you noticed something happened with my hair? Yes, I cut it last month. Arrggghhhh. I regretted it a bit because I told the hairdresser to trim the split-ends only, but then my hair ended up TOO SHORT. Geez. It's getting a bit longer now but still, I'm devastated that my curls had gone *sobbing*.

I really love this L Esprit nail lacquer from American Apparel. I'm such a lucky bastard that I got a chance to redeem three of them from Chic Rewards. I'm thinking about snatch these darlings in every color. Best (affordable) nail polish for me so far! Quick dry and lump-free!

While I was in Jakarta, I couldn't miss a chance to meet some of fabulous Indonesian bloggers for great dinner. They are Mira of The Picnic Girl, Heidy of Fashion Maverick, Nina of Fashion Suicide, Michelle H of Miss Chelle, and Michelle K of Glisters and Blisters (check out her post for more photos but please ignore the fact that I looked very huge and chubby... Hahaha joking! =P). Can't wait for another chance to meet them again!

One more news which you probably have known (I tweeted it few weeks ago), I'm so honored that Teen Vogue chose me as their current Blogger Of The Moment! Yaaayyyy! Once I got featured on Girl Of The Week last year was very much amazing and then when I received the first interview email from them few months ago, I was completely shocked and stunned! Hahaha. I'm very graceful! It's just like a dream comes true, isn't it? If you wanna check it out, click here to read the interview =D

ps. Thanks for sending me your sweet emails/tweets while I was on hiatus. They mean a lot to me and my blog is nothing without my readers. Love ya! xx

I was very excited to take a walk on the bridge last Sunday and get photographed by my dear friend, Moks, with his Canon EOS 40D. He's such an awesome photographer and you should check out his amazing work here.

Do you think that I pull off sequin pants on sunny Sunday? These are my newest pants and completely satisfying my obsession to sequins lately. I think they're such a lovely pair for my vintage nude blazer that I got last month.

Anyway, before I start my L'Oreal review, the first introduction that you have to know about my hair is: It seems that every hair problem loves my hair. I think my hair is attractive, in a weird way. Duh. This is how my hair was and what happened before:
I have thin hair density, with dry and notorious split-ends. While my oily scalp easily makes my flowing locks get limp easily so I need to wash my hair almost everyday but since my biggest problem is hair loss, it's depressing to see clumps of hair falling out my head every single time after I wash it. It's just dull, and completely disaster.
I'm a type of person who don't treat my hair as well as my shoes. Word. I used to change my shampoo depends on what I found in the bathroom and I rarely used conditioner because I always wake up late so I didn't have much extra time just to rub the conditioner on my hair and wait for few minutes. Duh. I also changed my hair color every month and ironed it everyday, I've tried straightening, curling, and everything without proper hair care and treatment that my hair really needed. And I even rarely combed my hair. I just love to brush my bangs only. Hahaha. But now I feel the complete damaged hair as consequences of what I've done to my hair a while ago. Geez. Poor hair.
I even thought to go bald, for God's sake.

Photobucket

When I received a package of L'Oreal shampoo and conditioner that Linda from L'Oreal Company kindly sent for me a week ago, I wasn't really sure that the shampoo and conditioner would suit my hair type and problems (although the pink bottles are so adorable, yeah?), but I saw a flick of hope for my dull hair, so why not? I'm surprised that the result is very pleasing from the first time I used it and I'm not just saying it.

Photobucket

Photobucket

First, I really really love the long-lasting scent that I could stick my hair on my nose all the time just to smell it. And it smells yummy. Hahaha. Second, no easy-greasy yet frizzy hair. These products tame my frizz hair and increasing the 'soft' factor. Who doesn't want healthy and clean hair, too? Plus, it looks voluminous without any kind of lion-hair look with less matted hair and more manageable. Third, I seriously didn't believe the result from the first time because I've only used the dynamic duo for four times and they already do revive my limp locks also pump up my strands' volume. The creamy conditioner helps my hair to get silky while the moisture smoothens my dry ends. It's really nice to see that my hair feels lighter and of course, shinier! I have to say that I've proudly achieved wavily-run-my-fingers-through-it hair. Hahaha.
Last but not least, for those who have student budget like me, the price is very affordable (only 19.900 rupiahs for a bottle of 180 ml - 200 ml). Yaaaay. I will surely repurchase these products when I run out of them. Happy pocket, anyone?
