Chanel Cruise 2010 Show

Am I a bad blogger? I know... I was sick and busy and no time for blogging and yada yada yada. I don't want to inform you the boring details and make you yawning all the time.
Well, I've changed my layout. I guess I like to keep it simple.
So, here it goes...

Chanel Resort 2010 Collection

So where does Chanel globe-trotter go to this season's resort boardwalk? In timeless and purely beautiful ensembles Venice-Italy of course. Sailor-esque stripes, light transparencies with super fabulous Chanel logos, ombre, delicate laces, shimmery sequins, glass embroidery, and rich chiffon imitate a scandalous love affair with each look as it plays out in an unbelievably chic story.
The star pieces here were pure Chanel, un-themed save for their classic elegance: a white classic silk blouse and a chic black silk skirt, a cream sequin-edged matching jacket and dress, and the unmistakable frothy silk dress.

Less than a week after the runway show took place, images of the 2010 Chanel Resort campaign have surfaced. Karen Elson and Baptiste Giabiconi, shot in a series of romantic photographs by none other than the Kaiser himself in a dark vintage-looking hotel room in Venice. Magnificent job, Mr. Lagerfeld!

Though Karen didn’t strut on the boardwalk runway, she looks as if she went straight from the show to the photo shoot, with her lovely short red, 50’s-esque curls and all of that lace lingerie.

Anyway, I'm currently doing lots of DIY project rite now. Coming up with those stuffs soon =]

vivienne westwood fall 2009 ready-to-wear.

I just love Vivienne Westwood. She's one of my fave designers. Here's the article I've got from her page on Facebook:

After appearing with Dame Viv and her husband, Andreas Kronthaler, in the Vivienne Westwood Spring advertising campaign, Pamela Anderson walked the runway at today's Fall show. Her first time out, Pammy's arms were bound behind her back. She's not exactly your typical fashion muse, and her getup wasn't exactly the kind of thing you expect to see on the catwalk—but remember who we're talking about here. Westwood also saw fit to send out three-meter lengths of raw-cut fabric tossed about the shoulders and call them cloaks; then there were the dresses with crinolines permanently kicked up, the hems inching past the models' ears as if they had found themselves in the middle of a hurricane.

Speaking of inclement weather, Westwood dubbed her collection "+5°," as in the five degrees the earth's average temperatures are calculated to rise as CO2 levels skyrocket. The symbol appeared on T-shirts, and the message gave her a good excuse to extend the do-it-yourself/consume-less idea she put forth last season, this time via borrowed-from-your man's-closet big jackets. Amid Anderson's shenanigans and the political propaganda there were one or two moments that recalled Westwood's iconoclastic heyday: a Lurex-shot Edwardian jacket worn with baggy camo-print cargos for one, and a black dévoré velvet, one-shoulder, asymmetrically wrapped dress for another. But it would've required a few more for this collection to be taken seriously.

I love to see her designs here. I'm still craving for drapery pieces and folk-lore patterns. We saw some preppy look too here. With all the blazers, pleated skirts, long socks, etc. Here are some of my fave pieces:

Last... Why Pam?? Why??? I just hate Pam. I hate her. Although I love Tommy Lee too much, yeah. Haha.

style.com's top ten fall must-haves.

Based on article that I've read on Style.com about Top Ten Fall Must-Haves, I've decided my fave pieces. I do like over the knee boots, something draped, a leather jacket (which I've got one for a nice price on ebay!), and something studded! But, this Stella McCartney's animal-free cupro jacket from fall 2009 ready-to-wear that really really caught my eye!! *drooling*

The color, the shape, everything is so perfect! I would totally love to wear this with black mod mini-dress and over-the-knee boots. Gosh... I wish I could wear that kind of boots in this tropical country. I have knee-high boots but I usually fold it down until mid-calf. It's too hot wearing that kind of boots here. But I have to find the fabulous over-the-knee ones on ebay because I'm craving for them so much, like this one:

These are nice and simple over-the-knee black boots. But I don't refuse to have the edgy ones like shown in that article, by Rodarte. Next, something draped! We see A LOT of drapery pieces since last year fall season and it will be the trend again for next fall. After seeing Viktor & Rolf's attention-grabbing clutch, let's see what other designers do.

Great tailoring and drapery knitwear weaved by Veronique Branquinho. Above is one of my fave piece with masculine and feminine elements mix.
Other great and quirky pieces come from Junya Watanabe. An interlude which Watanabe gathered in thoughts about draping (a few black asymmetric tunics worn over leggings) and veiled gold lamé. These three are my faves:

Aaaaand... (drumline) leather jacket! I can't stop craving for them. Especially in a season of don't-mess-with-me biker babes like now. Totally right, Phi's shrunken, short-sleeved leather motorcycle jacket that shown on gorgeous Chanel Iman is such perfection.

This awesome strong-shouldered (which is also include this top ten next trend) leather jacket from Givenchy looks totally fab!

I also see my fave leather-look pieces from one of Milan's baroque designers, Maurizio Pecoraro. Leather-look suits with polkadot sheer tights really complete my day!

Something studded... Nothing can stop me fall in love with this gorgeous pieces. Oh my... I believe that studded duffel bag named "Coco" from Alexander Wang fall 2009 Collection toted by Mary-Kate Olsen is going to be an 'it' bag for the coming fall or late summer fashion!

And this stunning studded boots from Charlotte Ronson fall 2009 fashion show!! These particular booties featured a platform sole and peep-toe dominated the runway.

Final words... I just heart this Kenzo fall 2009 ready-to-wear collection. Dr. Zhivago meets folkloric flounce. Too gorgeous to be true!!
